Annotation: This is a beautifally written account of one man's experience of watching the WTC attack from the New Jersey side of the Hudson river. It was written as an article for the literary magazine McSweeny's and is very worthwhile reading.
Excerpt: The view across the Hudson River was awful. The distance of a few blocks from my apartment to the waterfront, perhaps half a mile, made all the difference.
