It was early in the morning, and I was just settling down in the lecture hall thinking about the things I had to get done that day. Two of my classmates ran in and said that a plane had it one of the world trade center towers. They made it sound as though it was a very small plane, like someone had not watched where they were going. Our class started and another teacher came into to talk to our professor, who shortly there after broke the news to us he said Our nation is under attack and that we were all going to the chapel to pray. My insides went cold when he said this. They cancelled classes for the rest of the day and we all went back to our dormitories and were glued to CNN for the next 4 weeks. I can remember walking into the dorm and turning on the TV just to see the second plane hit the building- sureal and numb is what I felt. I couldn't make it connect in my brain. When the buildings collapsed, it didn't register with me that there were still people in the building, not till long after- I think that was because I didn't want to deal with that thought. We cried and prayed for quite a while.
