The Library of Congress Professional Association (LCPA) is a staff organization
dedicated to helping its members reach their professional goals. About 1,500 current
and retired employees participate in committees and forums on topics ranging from
foreign languages to gardening. The LCPA publishes two periodicals, sponsors an
annual art show, and a biennial talent showcase. It conducts volunteer activities
for local non-profit organizations. It sponsors the Continuing Education Fund, a
grant-making organization that supports the educational endeavors of members. Embracing
the Memory is the LCPA's first anthology.
