Comprehensive Reference Resource (CRR)

Guard Bureau's Comprehensive Reference Resource on the September
11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks. Following the attacks of September 11,
2001, the National Guard Bureau initiated an extensive data collection
and synethesis program to develop and disseminate a CD-ROM based "Comprehensive
Reference Resource". Throughout the twelve month evolution of the CRR,
the project team collaborated with national associations and other key
stakeholders to validate functional design, prioritize content development,
and facilitate data collection. The National Guard Bureau's primary
objective in developing the CRR was to create an electronic library
of resources relating to the September 11 terrorist attacks.
SuperRico
View comic-book pages from a class project of PS 721M's Adolescent Day
Treatment. The project aimed to help students resolve lingering fears
and anxieties after September 11th. The title comes from the central
character of the story, SuperRico, a Puerto Rican tree frog with powers
of a Superhero.

Tepeyac de New York
Many undocumented immigrants were affected by the World Trade Center
disaster. Some worked in the Towers and went missing when the towers
collapsed; others worked in the immediate vicinity and lost their jobs
during the long shut-down of the downtown area. From the first hours,Asociación
Tepeyac stepped in to advocate for immigrants affected by the tragedy.
This collection includes a variety of materials that document the impact
the WTC disaster has had on undocumented immigrants and presents some
of the programs Asociación has devised to meet their needs.
1199 SEIU News
As the World Trade Center attack began to unfold, healthcare workers
in downtown New York City hospitals mobilized to treat the injured.
Their union, 1199SEIU, a part of the Service Employees International
Union, covered the relief effort in their printed and online journal,
1199SEIU News. This collection includes articles and photos published
in the October, November and December, 2001 and April, 2002 issues and
additional photographs contributed by 1199 SEIU. News photographers

The New York Committee for Occupational
Safety and Health (NYCOSH)
The New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health is a non-profit
coalition of local unions and individuals dedicated to the rights of
workers to safe and healthful jobs. The sections of the NYCOSH website
in this archive serve as a bibliography of news, research and institutional
action about health and safety issues raised by the WTC attacks. "UPDATES"
provide brief reports of these issues in the first year following the
catastrophe. "WTC Catastrophe files" include information NYCOSH
gleaned from affiliated organizations, as well as links to news stories,
research institutions, government agencies and other sources.
Independent Press Association: Voices
that Must be Heard
IPA translates articles from the ethnic press (when necessary) and distributes
them via web and fax newsletter to mainstream and ethnic press, government
offices, nonprofits, and interested individuals. Voices That Must
be Heard was designed by the Independent Press Association staff
in New York City in response to the horrifying events of September 11.
Here, the Archive has preserved the Voices collection from its inception
until November 2002.
